Cancelled classes
Due to the inauguration ceremony of the academic year 2023/2024, which will commence on October 2nd at 2:00 PM, I hereby cancel all language classes organized by the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching, formerly the School for Foreign Language Teaching, that were scheduled to start on Monday, October 2nd, after 1:00 PM.
Language classes scheduled between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM on October 2nd will proceed as planned.

On June 22, 2023, employees of the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching bid farewell to the academic year 2022/23 at the Column Hall of the Faculty of History, University of Warsaw.
Summer intensive courses
The Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Warsaw invites you to intensive courses during the summer months (July/September):
- English (C1 30 hours, B2 60 hours, B1 30 hours);
- French (B1 30 hours, A2 30 hours);
- Spanish (A2 30 hours, A1 60 hours, A1 30 hours);
- German (A2 30 hours, A1 60 hours);
- Russian (A2 60 hours);
- Italian (B1 60 hours, A1 30 hours).
In this year’s summer offer, we provide stationary, hybrid, and online courses. Information about the course mode, topics, and meeting dates is included in the syllabi.
Registration for intensive courses will take place in two rounds: Round I – June 6, 2023, to July 4, 2023; Round II – August 22, 2023, to September 5, 2023, in the token registration system.

ALTE conference
On April 28, 2023, Dr. Sylwia Kossakowska-Pisarek and Dr. Małgorzata Świerk presented the results and conclusions of the MiLLaT Lessons from implementing mediation at the European universities based on the MiLLaT project at the international ALTE Language Assessment Fit for the Future conference in Madrid (April 26-28, 2023).
The conference is organized regularly by the University of Cambridge in various European educational centres. This year’s conference was attended by 400 delegates representing the most significant educational institutions in the field of examining and testing foreign languages worldwide, including education ministries, universities, examination centres, and EU bodies. An important topic of this year’s conference was mediation and mediation activities in foreign language teaching.

Feelings and values
On May 6th, 2023, the International Student Scientific Conference “Feelings and values that will save the world” was held, organized by the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Łódź. The Centre for Foreign Language Teaching was represented by Mariia Turunovskaia and Anna Sobierajska, who gave a presentation entitled “The dialogue of values in culture (using Soviet and Russian feature films as an example).”
Students from Poland, Slovakia, and Australia participated in the event. The conference provided a wonderful opportunity for exchanging ideas, lively discussions, and getting to know new colleagues from universities in Poland and abroad.
