At the beginning of each semester, the lecturer informs students about the detailed rules for passing the language course, taking into account the guidelines presented below. The rules for passing should also be included in the course description in USOSweb. If the conditions for passing were not presented, or if you missed the first class, contact the lecturer.
If a student does not achieve satisfactory learning results, they receive a failing grade but retain the possibility of improving it during the nearest retake session. If the student has not met the conditions for passing, no grade is awarded and it is not possible to pass the semester during the retake session.
The conditions for withdrawal from a language course are described in the Study Regulations.
Traditional Language Courses (60 hours)
The condition for passing the course is prior registration for the class in accordance with the registration rules.
Traditional courses include 60 hours of in-person classes. Attendance is compulsory. Up to 3 absences per semester are allowed without justification. Absences exceeding this limit must be justified or made up in accordance with the lecturer’s requirements. These requirements are communicated to students in the syllabus or at the first class.
The final grade for the language course consists of the following components:

class participation and tasks completed in class (25% of the final grade);
-
results of quizzes, partial tests, homework (25% of the final grade);
-
final test result (50% of the final grade).
At least 60% of the points must be obtained on the final test.
To receive a passing grade, students must demonstrate achievements in each of the above categories (a student who receives 0% in any category will not pass).
Grading scale

99–100% → 5! (excellent)

93–98% → 5 (very good)

87–92% → 4+ (good plus)

77–86% → 4 (good)

71–76% → 3+ (satisfactory plus)

60–70% → 3 (satisfactory)
For completing 60 hours of classes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
Traditional Language Courses (30 hours)

Blended courses include in-person classes (30 hours) and asynchronous classes on the Kampus or Moodle platform (30 hours).
Attendance at in-person classes is compulsory. Up to 2 absences per semester are allowed without justification. Absences exceeding this limit must be justified or made up in accordance with the lecturer’s requirements. These requirements are communicated to students in the syllabus or at the first class.
The final grade for the blended course consists of the following components:

mandatory exercises on Kampus or Moodle (40% of the final grade);
-
participation and tasks completed in in-person classes (30% of the final grade);
-
final test (30% of the final grade).
The student must achieve at least 60% for tasks completed on the Kampus or Moodle platform.
At least 60% of the points must also be obtained on the final test.
To receive a passing grade, students must demonstrate achievements in each of the above categories (a student who receives 0% in any category will not pass).
Grading scale – same as above.
For completing 60 hours of classes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
E-Language Courses (mainly online learning)
The condition for passing the course is prior registration for the class in accordance with the registration rules.
E-language courses include in-person classes and asynchronous classes on the Kampus platform.
Attendance at in-person classes is compulsory. A minimum of 60% attendance is required. This is a condition for taking the final test covering the entire course material, which is held in class. Absences exceeding this limit must be justified or made up in accordance with the lecturer’s requirements. These requirements are communicated to students in the syllabus or at the first class.
The final grade for the course consists of the following components:

mandatory exercises on the Kampus platform (55% of the final grade);
-
participation and tasks completed in in-person classes (15% of the final grade);
-
final test (30% of the final grade).
The student must achieve at least 60% for tasks completed on the Kampus platform.
At least 60% of the points must also be obtained on the final test.
Grading scale – same as above.
If a student scores below 60% on mandatory Kampus assignments and/or attends fewer than 60% of in-person classes, they are not allowed to take the final test and do not pass the course.
If the student meets the requirements for Kampus assignments and attendance, but scores less than 60% on the final test, they have the right to retake it at the next available date.
To receive a passing grade, students must demonstrate achievements in each of the above categories (a student who receives 0% in any category will not pass).
For completing 60 hours of classes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
Fully Online Language Courses
The condition for passing the course is prior registration for the class in accordance with the registration rules.
Fully online courses are conducted entirely on the Kampus platform.
The final grade for the course consists of the following components:

mandatory exercises on the Kampus platform (70% of the final grade);
-
final test (30% of the final grade).
To pass, the student must obtain at least 60% in each category.
Grading scale – same as above.
For completing 60 hours of classes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
