ZZJK Meeting – May 7, 2025

The Chairwoman thanked the Team members for conducting the observations and preparing the reports.

Issues raised during the meeting of the UW authorities in Chęciny were also discussed, including:

• developing a university compendium of good teaching practices,
• the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process,
• asynchronous courses within the 4EU+ alliance,
• university-wide classes within the IDUB program,
• cooperation with external stakeholders and development of infrastructure for hybrid classes.

Information was provided regarding the new method of registering for language courses and exams in USOS and data migration. Attention was drawn to the need for students to complete the placement test in advance.

The activities of the Summer Academy for Russian Language Teachers, the “Methodological Kitchen” podcast, and the “Project Festival – 10 minute play” initiative were also discussed.

It was agreed that the updated document “Internal System of Education Quality Assurance” will be presented to the CNJO Council.

An audit of the documentation published on the CNJO website was also started, covering, among others, the mission and strategy, curricula, passing conditions, learning outcomes, certification, class observations, training, and ZZJK documents.

ZZJK Meeting – December 4, 2024

During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

• the participation of CNJO representatives in the university team for the implementation of the UW strategy,
• the class observation plan for the 2024/2025 academic year,
• the need to update the Internal System of Education Quality Assurance,
• the offer of training and workshops for employees.

Dr. Sławomir Maskiewicz and Dr. Sylwia Kossakowska-Pisarek were appointed to the university team for the implementation of the UW strategy.

Observations of eight employees were planned, including inter-team observations.

Proposals were also submitted for training in neurodidactics, psychological support in the didactic process, and preparing students for new formats of certification exams.

Class observations cover all employees in a four-year cycle and all newly employed teachers in their first year of employment. In justified cases, intervention observations are also possible.

The Chairwoman of ZZJK conducts an annual review of the results of student surveys and presents conclusions to the CNJO Director.

• Multimodal communication and developing non-linguistic competences within language classes – Dr. Sylwia Kossakowska-Pisarek and Anna Łętowska-Mickiewicz, MA.

Information about interesting training courses recommended by CNJO employees is also presented in the CNJO Newsletter “Didactic Curiosities”.

• work on the new version of the CNJO website and updating its content,
• 26 class observations,
• a meeting regarding employees’ comments on the student survey with representatives of the UW quality system.

The method of interpreting the results of student surveys and their role in the employee evaluation system was discussed. The conclusions included a proposal to develop a survey dedicated to language courses and to conduct a workshop for employees on the function of the survey and the interpretation of its results.

Winter semester

In October 2022, a discussion was held regarding the observation system. It was agreed, among other things, that:

• mandatory observations take place every four years,
• newly employed people are observed in their first year of work,
• observations are announced at least a week in advance,
• a post-observation conversation is recommended after the observation,
• optional mentor support can be introduced for newly employed people.

Sub-teams were established to develop a system of pro-quality activities, procedures for working with teachers whose classes do not receive positive evaluations, and to update the CNJO website.

Meeting – January 11, 2023

• a collection of employees’ comments regarding the student survey was planned,
• the design of the new version of the CNJO website was continued,
• it was proposed to develop information about CNJO activities on social media,
• a proposal for a system of pro-quality activities was discussed, including a training base, coaching, and new ways of promoting employee achievements.

Meeting – February 8, 2023

The rules of conduct in the event of low teaching achievements or low organizational commitment of an employee were presented and discussed.
