DIRECTOR

Andrzej Dąbrowski PhD, andrzej.dabrowski@uw.edu.pl

A graduate of the Faculty of Modern Languages at Adam Mickiewicz University (Applied Linguistics), he earned his PhD at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. For over a dozen years, he has been teaching Legal English, conducting classes for both students of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and practicing lawyers. He is the author of publications on teaching specialized languages and a member of EULETA (The European Legal English Teachers’ Association). He is also a member of the Program Council of CKNJOiEE at the University of Warsaw and the Coordinating Council for Foreign Language Teaching and Language Proficiency Certification at the University of Warsaw.

 

DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS

Anna Cegiełka PhD, a.cegielka@uw.edu.pl

A graduate of the Faculty of Modern Languages, Institute of English Studies at the University of Warsaw, and the Faculty of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw. She holds a PhD in the humanities and is an assistant professor at the University of Warsaw’s Centre for Foreign Language Teaching. She has been a university-level English language instructor since 1999, teaching at the University of Warsaw since 2008. Since 2017, she has served as the Deputy Director for Teaching Affairs at the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching. She is also the chair of the CNJO Quality Assurance Team and a member of the CNJO Program Council and the Coordinating Council for Foreign Language Teaching and Language Proficiency Certification at the University of Warsaw.

 

DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR FINANCIAL AFFAIRS

Magdalena Biesiadecka, mtbiesia@uw.edu.pl

A graduate of the master’s program in German philology at the University of Warsaw, she is a senior assistant at the University of Warsaw’s Centre for Foreign Language Teaching. Since 2017, she has served as the Deputy Director for Financial Affairs at CNJO. She is also the chair of the Team for Subsidizing Employee Training Trips and a member of the CNJO Program Council. Her expertise lies in teaching German language courses using the blended learning system. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education, she was awarded the Medal of the National Education Commission.

Head of  The English Language Team

Anna Łętowska-Mickiewicz, mickiewicz.a@uw.edu.pl

A graduate of the University of Warsaw (Master’s degree from the Institute of English Studies); Fulbright Scholar (Fulbright Summer Institute, Western Michigan University, USA); Certified Online Teaching Methodologist (Certification Committee of the Association for Academic E-learning, SEA). She is a university lecturer, author, and co-author of blended learning courses at various proficiency levels for students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff at the University of Warsaw. She is also a co-author and instructor in the Foundation Year program, as well as a co-author and coordinator of the Central Language Examination. Since November 2021, she has served as the Head of the English Language Team at CNJO and is a member of the CNJO Quality Assurance Team.

 

Head of The German and Scandinavian Languages Team

Elżbieta Lewkowicz PhD, e.lewkowicz@uw.edu.pl

Assistant professor, Doctor of Social Sciences, and a graduate of German Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as postgraduate studies in methodology and specialized translation at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. She is a simultaneous interpreter specializing in medical language and has been a university lecturer since 1990, teaching at the University of Warsaw. She currently serves as the Head of the German and Scandinavian Languages Team at the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Warsaw and is a member of the Quality Assurance Team. She has participated in numerous international conferences and scholarship programs.

 

HEAD OF THE ROMANCE LANGUAGES TEAM

Arkadiusz Misiak, amisiak@uw.edu.pl

A graduate of the master’s program in Romance philology at the University of Warsaw and a doctoral program in management sciences at Kozminski University. He is a university lecturer, author of blended-learning French courses, and co-author of certification exams. He also teaches at the Open University of the University of Warsaw. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Romance Languages Team at the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at UW. He is a member of the Quality Assurance Team and the CNJO Council, as well as the coordinator of the University Foreign Language Teaching System at UW.

 

COORDINATOR FOR THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TEAM

Magdalena Ziółek-Wojnar, magdalena.ziolek@uw.edu.pl

A Russian philologist with 20 years of teaching experience, a graduate of the University of Warsaw, and a senior assistant at the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at UW. She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Russian Language Team. She is the author of certification exams and the coordinator of the international FAB project under Erasmus+. She has participated in numerous training programs, conferences, and scholarship programs in Poland, Russia, and the EU. A hands-on educator, she actively shares her experience through publishing articles and conducting training sessions. She is also the founder and organizer of the Summer Academy for Russian Language Teachers and the Kuchnia metodyczna podcast.
